This Romaine Salad is a delectable combination of crispy greens and oven baked Italian bread. For a more robust meal, add lean, top sirloin steak.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
In a bowl, mix bread, salt and pepper, and 1/3 cup olive oil. Spread the bread out onto a baking sheet and then bake in oven until golden brown (5-10 minutes).
Mix balsamic vinegar and 1/4 cup olive oil. In a separate bowl toss lettuce, bread, carrots, basil, olives, and feta cheese.
Mix liquid with bread mixture tossing to coat. Serve right away or wait 20 min to let flavor soak into bread.
